Laverne Wojciechowski DTM – 3 Seconds to Decide – Create a Great Poster.

Did you realize you have three seconds to capture someone’s attention?  In today’s world we are constantly bombarded with information.  How do you make your information standout to capture the attention of your intended audience?  Your club posters must attract people to them in three seconds and be great enough for people to “stay” and read more.

Laverne Wojciechowski, DTM, is a past District 64 District Director, Public Relations Manager, and has held the VP Public Relations role several times. She believes the quality of your club poster reflects the quality of your club.  Laverne has been creating posters and flyers for clubs that attract guests which turn into members.  Attend this session to learn how to create a great poster to attract guests to your clubs.

Deputy Minister of Advanced Education Eric Charron will deliver the opening address.

$10 “virtual” will be $11.62 total and $35 “in person” will be $38.15 after the Eventbrite agency fee is applied.

Fall Rally 2021

The Fall Rally was held Saturday September 18, 2021.  It was hosted by the Vital Words Toastmaster Club.

The Keynote speaker was past International President Ted Corcoran DTM.

  • Greg Wood DTM,AS provided a presentation on “The Magic of Connection”
  • Lloyd Gwilliam DTM gave a presentation on “The Do’s and Don’ts of Hybrid Clubs.”
  • David Kendall DTM ran a challenging but fun trivia contest.
  • The District provided one final opportunity for Club Officer Training.
  • Several awards and prizes were handed out.

 


Historical Fall Rally Information

Each September the District holds a Fall Rally to officially launch the Toastmaster year.  Typically one club will be given the honour of hosting the event and organizing the day.  It runs from 9 am to later afternoon and is usually held outside of Winnipeg.  In 2020 it was held virtually and hosted by the Steinbach Toastmaster Clubs (Carillon & Steinbach Professional Development).
